The famous “bean to brew” system that the Delonghi 3300 has brought to perfection should set the standard for every other espresso machine on the market today. Although perhaps you are one of those people who enjoys being “hands on” with espresso making.
Perhaps you enjoy purchasing costly pre-ground espresso and measuring it into a special handle – then tamping down on the espresso until it’s just right, making sure that loose grounds don’t get into the brew group gasket.
Maybe you don’t mind waiting 6 – 10 minutes for the espresso machine to heat the water to the correct temperature and then closely monitoring the slow extraction of the espresso into a properly pre-heated glass or cup. Maybe you get a thrill out of cleaning the used espresso grinds out of the handle when it’s over.
On the other hand, maybe you think doing all of that is a pain in the neck.
If that’s the case, then the Delonghi 3300 and you were made for each other. You can make use of pre-ground espresso if you prefer, but the Delonghi 3300 has a built-in specialized coffee grinder so you can just throw in fresh whole coffee beans. If you know your coffee, then you know that freshly ground coffee beans beat pre-ground coffee every time.
The Delonghi 3300 only grinds the beans that it will make use of for that particular brewing cycle, retaining the pure coffee bean freshness as it converts it into a perfect espresso grind. It also has a removable 7.5 cup water reservoir, so you can fill it once and have enough for 2 or 3 days’ worth of espresso. The built-in heating plate will insure that your espresso cups are heated to the ideal temperature.
Then all you have to do is push that button. That’s all there is to it.
You won’t have to wait more than a couple of minutes for your perfect cup of espresso, because the Delonghi 3300 has a 2- boiler system for heating the water. That means it will get the water to the perfect temperature super fast.
And get this – it removes the used espresso grinds after brewing. When it’s time to clean your Delonghi, just open the door and remove the entire brew mechanism module – wash it under hot water then click it back in and you’re done.
The Delonghi 3300 will do just about everything for you except stack the chairs on the table and say “arivaderchi” to you when it’s time to go to work. But that could be next.
