DeLonghi 3300 Review

The Delonghi 3300 – Cappuccino In Style

Check Out This Information Before You Buy The Delonghi 3300

Remember the ‘90’s? Espresso/Cappuccino mania had taken over and it seemed like everyone had their own home espresso machine. I was one of the first. I remember that after about a week or so the milk steamer gave up the ghost, so it became a true espresso maker of “so-so” caliber. Since that time I have always been a little leery of buying another espresso/cappuccino maker – that is until I bought my Delonghi 3300.

It would probably be more accurate to say that I “invested” in the Delonghi 3300 because it did cost a few bucks! But believe it or not, after a few months of skipping Starbucks, it paid for itself, and I can now truly say that I love having this sturdy little workhorse in my kitchen every day.

There are a mind-numbing assortment of espresso/cappuccino machines you could buy. But as long as you’re not planning to open your own café, then the Delonghi 3300 is the top of the line consumer model on the market today. This handsome machine has every conceivable feature you could want in an espresso/cappuccino maker:

As you may know, cappuccino and espresso both come from Italy. So does the Delonghi 3300. It has the sleek Italian design that you would expect and it would look fantastic in anyone’s kitchen. Yet for such a capable, powerful appliance, it has a small footprint – 17” x 13” x 18”.

At 7.5 cups, the water reservoir for the Delonghi 3300 is large enough to last me a couple of days between refills and it’s removable - along with the coffee bean tank – for ease of use. It has a built-in coffee bean grinder which makes a big difference in taste. I can buy fresh whole beans and only have the machine grind the actual beans that are being brewed so none of the coffee bean freshness is lost. The heated cup tray insures that my coffee is always at the perfect temperature.

Granted this is just my opinion, but I have to say that the coffee you get from the Delonghi 3300 is every bit as good as you get from Expobar, Rancillo, Jura or some other super-high-priced machine. Plus, it's a cinch to clean. Whenever you think it needs cleaning, all you have to do is pull out the brew mechanism. This is important because a machine that’s a pain to clean won’t be cleaned as often - simple as that - and it will be reflected in the taste eventually. With Delonghi 3300 you don’t have to worry about that.

A premium cup of coffee at any high-end coffee place is now about $5.00 and still rising. At that rate, it’s easy to see that you will recoup your investment in the Delonghi 3300 in a few months. At the same time you will avoid the lines and hassle of the coffee shop and be treated to a better tasting cup of coffee, cappuccino or espresso every day in the comfort of your home.

Once you have this functional good looking machine in place, complementing your kitchen, I know you’ll be as happy with it as I am.
